Grade R

Our curriculum offers a program that stimulates the brain development through exercises, activities and positive touch.

WHAT WE FOCUS ON

Activities that explores the learning through using muscles, senses and motor skills.

We encourage learning through play. Remember: Learning is Fun.

Skills for development are progressive and age appropriate.

The fees for the babies includes Baby Steps - a gross motor activity for babies.

Both the Jungle Animal and Dinosaur classes follow Curriculum Go (CAPS).

BUBBLES & BALLOONS HAVE AN OPEN DOOR POLICY

We therefore encourage parents to constantly communicate any problems with our teachers or Principal.

PROGRESS REPORTS

The teachers compile a written progress report on each child’s progress in June and December.

These are very comprehensive and detailed reports with assessments and observations made by the teachers on a daily basis. If at any stage the teachers or parents feel the need for a child to get professional assistance, it will be discussed with the parents personally. Parents are encouraged to meet with the teachers at any stage should they feel the need to assist the child or if they suspect any shortcomings in the child’s behaviour or performance. The Grade R's receive quarterly reports so the parents can monitor their progress.

CLASS DOJO

As a school, you often need to get important information to parents. Class Dojo ensures that the right news reaches the right parents at the right time, with no chance of getting lost along the way. Communication between the school and the parents are very important in order to enhance the development of your child. Parents are advised to use Class Dojo to encourage good communication between them and the school.

Extra Murals

Extra-Mural Activities

The objective of these extra-mural activities is to stimulate children in areas outside of their compulsory activities in the education system. The high standard of activities offered is within the perimeter of the school grounds and hours. Physical movement and co-ordination is an important part of our development. All children do movement, sport and ball skills during school time. Bubbles & Balloons offer some extra-murals which are optional choices for children to do.

Playball.jpg

Playball

Using sport as the means, we provide children with a sound base from which to develop every aspect of their lives. The aim of Playball is to create a positive attitude towards sport and physical activity at an early age and to expose young children to constructive and enjoyable movement through a multi-activity programme, ensuring a competent foundation in all the popular sports played at school.
